Margaret Joseph Udoh

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

My name is Margaret Joseph Udoh.  A Journey of Growth and Passion

I was born and raised in Akwa Ibom state. From an early age, I was fascinated  with vulnerable children and aged and this curiosity shaped my personal and professional journey.

My academic path was on early childhood development and later guidance and counselling, where I pursued a degree in this field. During this time, I discovered my talent for  counselling,  and honed it through various projects, internships, and hands-on experiences. These years were instrumental in shaping my work ethic and creativity.

While studying i picked up a job with the state seconfary education board, where i had first hand interactions with the students and share in their struggles. I have also attended series of trainings in different areas [ health, community development, counselling and testing, gender equality].

I worked on  key projects like, sensitizing girls on menstrual health and hygiene management,  self defence class for persons ( children) with disabilities, Hiv/AIDS COUNSELLING and testing, home based care etc.  Through these projects, children/women in communities were not  enhanced with skills but also deepened my passion for humanity. Over the years, I have continued to grow, embracing new challenges and opportunities that push me beyond my comfort zone.

Beyond my professional life, I have always valued self love, volunteering, traveling, or creative pursuits.  These experiences have given me a broader perspective on life and a deep appreciation for continuous learning.

Today, I am driven by a mission to champion  girl child right, whether through my work, personal projects, or collaborations, I strive to contribute meaningfully and inspire those around me. I believe that growth is a lifelong journey, and I am excited about what the future holds.
